(WARNING: This video is from a showcasing event, therefore minor spoilers are included in the video. Do not watch if you want the have the full experience of the game.  A new trailer will be uploaded soon.)

About the game:
Vigil is a thoughtful, adventure-horror experience that challenges players to think for themselves as they explore the same unfamiliar environment as the protagonist does. Will you be able to understand the bigger picture at the end of the game? Find out!

Disclaimer:
This is made by a couple of students on a school project in a span of 3 months. So the game acts as a finished product, but really isn't.  We are aware of some bugs, and that the quality of different parts of the game is varying, but we had to deliver our exam project on time. We are a state of either moving on or continuing working on this project, so any comments on possible changes within the game or a acknowledgement on what we as a team should do would be very welcome!

We hope you enjoy!

This game frustrated me a little bit.  I think I hit a glitch or something.  Nonetheless, the graphics were super pretty and I loved the way the game looked.

Yeah, the usability in some parts aren't explained well enough to the player, the dialogue is far too long, and we didn't have time to implement a checkpoint in the dungeon. But thank you for the feedback, we'll probably patch this game when all our other exams are over:)

Hello there! First of all, I LOVE the graphics! Really nice work on that and the sounds are pretty nice as well! You managed to put me into that atmosphere right away! Keep up the good work!

Have you considered participating in our GDWC #gamedev contest?

Check out our itch.io page for more info :)

Thank you so much! Yeeh, the story isn't really a well implemented aspect of the game, we'll look into making the story more clear:)

Really cool game. I like the look of the castle.

my one complaint is the monster isn't really scary.

Thank you! We'll most likely update this game to be a much better gameplay-experience:)

Very pretty, I'd always be looking for more Spooks in a horror game, but it was nonetheless an enjoyable journey/experience :)

Looks very promising! Beautiful artwork and light design, well done. Looking forward to try it out! PS: This game would be absolutely stunning in VR

Thanks! Hope you'll have fun! That's a great idea! We'll put that into consideration if we have any VR-projects incoming.

Really great work guys! I did recognize quite a few of the assets, but the overall atmosphere and lighting was superb! I have my own theories about the story behind it all, but I'm not sure how close I managed to hit. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for your feedback and for shining light on our little game! I've also noted a couple of unknown bugs, and that the dialogue is a bit too long, as well as that it was unclear what to do with the orbs:) I already patched the dialogue issue at the end, so again, thank you!

It looks really cool! Sadly OBS is incapable of capturing it without losing virtually all the FPS. Very sad!
